LISMORE SPEEDWAY WASHED OUT
The race meeting at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway set down for Saturday night, March 18, has been abandoned due to wet weather.
Consistent, heavy rain forced promoter David Lander to call the meeting early Saturday morning after a track inspection at 8:30.
The venue has had a terrible run with the weather in recent months after a string of washouts over the high time of the season.
The next scheduled speedway fixture at the Lismore Showground is Saturday night, April 1 with the running of the New South Wales Four Cylinder Sedan Championship.
April represent one of the busiest months of the season, with major events planned for April 8 (Grenville Anderson Tribute), April 16 (NSW Wingless Sprintcar Championship/410 Sprintcars Easter Trail Round Three,,AMCA Nationals Northern Rivers Classic) and April 29 (NSW V8 Dirt Modified Championship.)
